Turn your messy marvins into refined citizens with this Ms./Mr. Manners class.  Besides the dining tutorial (i.e. which friggin’ glass is mine), the youngin’s will learn all the social skills like thank you notes, introductions, and …basically all the things we never learned…Proper dress required: Young Ladies – dress or skirt. Gentlemen – coat and tie.

Cambodia’s Killing Fields Come to the Neighborhood…

lake fores tcollegeLeon Lim, a survivor of Cambodia’s Killing Fields, will speak of about his experiences as a refugee and his journey to Chicago at Lake Forest College on February 11th at 7:30pm.

Event will take place at the Lily Reid Holt Memorial Chapel, located on the College’s Middle Campus at the intersection of Sheridan and College roads in Lake Forest.

Richard Linklater is a self-made film-maker, having made such films as The School of Rock, Slackers and the iconic Dazed & Confused, featuring a day-in-the-life of classmates on the last day of school. 

Mr. Linklater will be sharing his movie insights with the community on January 19th at Lake Forest College’s Lily Reid Memorial Chapel, located on the LFC’s Middle Campus at the intersection of Sheridan Road and College Road.
