Bargain Movies at the HP Movie Theater…

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

HP Movie Theater sells a 10-pass of movies for $45 – a savings of $25 off the “list” price of $7.00.  That’s quite a savings for some “almost-new” releases.  So let’s say you’re double dating and the other couple picks up the tab and you’re like “we’ll pick up the movie”.  Well, using the HP Movie Theater passbook you just dropped $9.00 on that other couple – GOOD THINKING! As our guess was that dinner was more than $4.50 a head…

Carlos’ Friday Night – Movie Night

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

carlosIf you’re looking for an engaging, fun-filled Friday night, you’d be hard pressed to find something more compelling than Carlos’ Movie Night.  Carlos’ is the same, headline-making French restaurant in Highwood that cures Parisians from their homesickness.

Here’s how movie night works:

While the dates are firm, the movies are more or less surprises. The discussion is run by a Roger Ebert type, who’s actually working with Mr. Ebert on a project – not too shabby.

Drinks/Dinner are from 6:30 – 8 (Includes Soup or Salad/Entrée), the movie is from 8-10 and dessert/discussion is from 10-10:30…

$60/person for 3-course meal, excluding tax, tap, and drinks.

Reservations:   847-432-0770 .  Seating limited to 25 people.  $15/person deposit required, refundable up to 24 hours in advance.
